GET READY TO HELP US CELEBRATE TEN YEARS:
Camp Lansdale 8
October 1 - 3, 2004

This year's CAMP LANSDALE will be the ten year anniversary of the system, originally called MAVERICK KENPO, and then combined with MATSUKAZE BUDO to become SHEN CHUAN.

The camp will, as always, feature Grandmaster, Professor Joe Lansdale, founder of Shen Chuan, Martial Science, one of the world's most renowned self-defense experts. And as a tribute to ten years of Shen Chuan, Professor Lansdale will be teaching one extra seminar section.

Guests will be Grandmaster Will Higginbotham, of Kempo fame, who will be teaching accupressure controls and knockouts and Sifu Tye W. Botting, who will be instructing in Preying Mantis, Tai Chi, and the Filipino Arts.

Special Guest will be Sifu Michael Billings who will be instructing in American and Chinese Kenpo.

We will also have special guests such as Soke Dai, Coy Harry, Professor Eugene Frizzell, Shihan Billy Jack Worsham and others.

WHEN: First weekend in October (Friday the 1st thru Sunday the 3rd)

WHO CAN ATTEND: Anyone fifteen years or older with signed permission from Parent or Guardian if under eighteen.

Although nothing is concrete yet, the following is a general timeline.

This schedule may change, but this shows general times and the line of instruction. Instructors may change their focus of instruction, or add other attributes to their sections.

FRIDAY NIGHT:
6:00 - 7:30 - Professor Eugene Frizzel will demonstrate techniques from Shen Chuan Stickboxing. These techniques will combine Filipino stick and knife and empty hand techniques with the techniques of Shen Chuan balance disruption and locking.
7:30 - 9:00 - Sifu Michael Billings will demonstrate self-defense techniques from American and Chinese Kenpo.

SATURDAY:
8 a.m doors open, sign up until 8:45.
8:45 - warm up
9:00 - 10:25 - Professor Joe R. Lansdale will demonstrate Shen Chuan striking, Check and Control techniques, a variety of self-defense techniques.
10:30 - 11:55 - Sifu Tye Botting will demonstrate techniques from Preying Mantis and Tai Chi..
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch Break
1:05 - 2:25 - Grandmaster Will Higginbotham will demonstrate techniques from Kempo and will demonstrate accupressure techniques.
3:00 - 4:25 - Professor Joe Lansdale Shen Chuan Balance Disruption.
4:30 - 5:30 - Shihan Billy Jack Worsham, Shen Chuan concepts and principles from Standing to the Mat.
7:00pm - Dinner at San Miguels. Lansdale's Self Defense is making reservations. Our out of town instructors will be taken care of by Lansdale's Self Defense Systems, all others will pay individually. We hope to have a large crowd. There will be some commentary from our erstwhile members, including Professor Lansdale. But, mostly, there will be a lot of eating.

9:00 - 10:00 - Sifu Botting, more techniques from his arts.
10:05 - 12:05 - Professor Joe Lansdale, locking techniques and associative techniques.
12:05 - 1:10 - Lunch
1:15 - 2:15 - Grandmaster Will Higginbotham, Accupressure points and Kempo.
2:20 - 3:20 - Michael Billings, the art of Chinese Kenpo.
3:30--4:30 Shihan Coy Harry, Shen Chuan Aikibujutsu, Soft techniques to hard techniques.
4:30-5:00 Closing statements, photos.
